 Here's a great little tale of horror with a pulp twist that could be used to generate a nice little adventure of ancient inheritance, starling revelations, and a chance of some greater revelations of horror.
The tale could be twisted into a dark sword and sorcery tale with some work. There's lots of room here for customization by a DM and with a bit of fleshing out might make a quick mini campaign with some strong Lovecraftian overtones.
